'High Grounds' is a documentary film on the drivers and conductors who drive on the death roads of the Spiti Valley in India. The film focuses to narrate their lives, shows us how the government's transport department functions, and documents the lives of locals residing in the valley as one embarks on this journey.

Shot against stunning Himalayan backdrops, High Grounds documents the lives of those bus drivers and conductors who traverse the perilous roads of Spiti Valley in Northeast India. The film also details the workings of the government transport department and introduces us to other residents of the valley, as they utilise the region’s remarkable bus network.
